Item Information
Abstract | In this 2008 recording of the annual yudansha seminar at Saku Dojo, Endo shihan introduces step by step the practice of examining and cultivating stillness, gradually including specific movements and foci of attention. Then, after chapters on receiving an attack, the practice includes dealing with two partners simultaneously. With this DVD, the viewer is taken through a progression that is orderly yet ripe with topic areas to explore in one's own practice. Professionally produced and subtitled in English throughout 16 chapters. Unique in this seminar is the approach to two-attacker practice, in which Endo sensei focuses not on performing techniques on the ukes but maintaining connection and playing with the dynamics with and among the two partners. |

"Really exceptional and also unique"
I was very impressed about Sensei's calm and very profound step by step way of showing the principles of Aikido which are both essential and basic for a good and beautiful connection with the partner. Again Sensei is focusing on the state of the mind and the heart. His way of practicing and teaching this mind-heart connection is really exceptional and also unique. The DVD is very well structured, following a clear path of teaching, with good English subtitles and helpful references to the Atari and Musubi and Sabaki/Tsukai DVDs which are actually a very good complement for this DVD. I personally think that one day Sensei's DVDs will be very much asked for and barely available thus I recommend to all Aikidokas to purchase them now for an affordable price.
